The Latitude Flatitude
Reviewed by: Mandy from Australia, Dec 05, 2010General Review
This pram has been ideal for what we wanted. Great all round pram with excellent basic functions and a few fantastic extras. For the price it has been really good. Tried many prams in the store but kept coming back to this one. Worth it as we love it!Pros
- Folds very flat for a three wheel stroller (make sure the front wheel is 'tucked' under the right way)- easy to fold
- easy to unfold (with one action I can lift it out of any of our cars and put it up without any hassles at all)
- great size basket underneath
- extra secure harness (childproof and even my mother couldn't work it) a feature of most of the Valco prams
- extra large 'expanda hood' - great cover from the sun
- handy footmuff and rain cover (great for keeping bugs out at night)
- good on boot space
- great handle with 3 adjustable heights (my 6'3" husband loves)
- one handed steering is cinch with the bar and easy manouverability
- larger wheels great for kerbs and other path irregularities
- very adjustable layback with slide adjuster rather than "bumpy" notches
- soft and spongy seat (for laying back babies)
- lightweight and easy to lift in and out of car when folded
- no need to find extra wide aisles when out and about - regular pram width
Cons
- not so good on gravel/sand- some wear on the underside of the front footrest flap but ONLY if it is left in the wrong position (not usually) and folded on a rough surface
- short length means I double check safety of the weight balance. However I haven't had the pram tip back as yet and I normally keep my medium size nappy bag hung over the extended handle
- velcro strap onto bar must be undone before folding (it can 'undo' itself but that puts stress on the parts I think)
- bar is not removable, which would be preferable with a newborn, although this can be a pro when baby can wriggle as I knew my baby couldn't wriggle out and off the end with the velco strap onto the bar and the bar itself there, unlike some of my friends' prams
