Rolls Royce of 3 wheelers

Reviewed by: Anonymous user from South Wales, Apr 30, 2007

General Review

This pram has got to be one of the best 3 wheelers on the market. I first bought one in 2003 when I had my first little girl and bought a new one in 2005 for my other little girl. I have bought loads of buggies and prams in between but keep reverting back to the JANE. It's the most comfortable looking pram/buggy around.Lots of people have commented on how comfortable my little girl looks as its quite wide. It folds down quite small and fits in most sized boots. I used to have a citroen saxo and it fitted fine in there. the wheels are quick release and also very easy to put back on. I HIGHLY recommend this pram to anyone.

Pros

The pros go on and on

Cons

The only downside really is that the seat doesn't sit upright enough for a toddler and also the shopping basket isn't very big

Overall really good but a few flaws

General Review

We actually have the 2004 model, but I think the main points are very similar!
The 'cons' I've mentioned are very picky - we love the Powertrack but the only thing that would make me choose something else next time is the seating position which he now finds isn't upright enough, however for the first 15 months of his life it suited him perfectly!

Pros

Wide and comfy for Jasper, plenty of arm room.
Goes flat so really good for sleeping in.
Easy steering, really smooth and easy to push (our pavements are awful and we don't have many lowered curbs, and it handles even this brilliantly)
Fits with the Matrix car seat which is absolutely fantastic.
It's really robust and solidly made - we've really put it through its paces as we do loads of walking and have lugged it around in cars, planes, buses and trains.
The seat is taller than many other buggies - Jasper is a tall 15 month old and is too big already for many of the other buggies of this type but there is still loads of growing room in this one.
We liked the styling of the Powertrack and it does seem to be quite popular with other Dads too!

Cons

Small basket underneath, big enough for a few bits and bobs but hopeless for a shopping trip.
The foot brake is mounted very close to its moorings, and after a couple of months started rubbing on the rubber wheels that it locks into so that it makes a BRBRBRBRBRBR sound when you're wheeling along - there's no adjustment to make it higher so you have to keep kicking it up!
Now that Jasper is bigger (15 mths) the seat position isn't upright enough for him and I have to wedge a blanket behind him to sit him upright otherwise he slumps and spends the time trying to pull himself up using the cross bar.
A pump is supplied but is mounted on clips at the bottom just by your feet. I kicked it off 5 times the first time we went out and it now lives in the kitchen drawer...! You can't adjust the moorings.
