I purchased the Techno XT when my son was 16 months old as our cheapy stroller died.It is so easy to push and steer with one hand and the fixed/swivel front wheels and brakes are easy to operate.
I love the fact that I can fold and lift it with one hand due to the carry handle.
The wheels are larger then some of the other MacLaren models, making it far superior for rougher terrain. Although I dont like to use it on gravel surfaces, I was forced to today and I was amazed with the way it handled.
My son finds it very comfortable to sleep in (he's 14kg) and the extendable leg rest is invaluable.
A friend borrowed it for her newborn and it was perfect for him too.
Love the fact that it has the sleeping bag included too.
Pros
Large hoodlarger wheels then some models
Great handles that extend
Solid comfortable easy to adjust 5 point harness
Carry handle when folded
Easy to collapse, one handed
Solid and great quality
Light enough to travel with
Cons
Price would be off putting for some people @ $439.95An umbrella stroller with lots of features

We bought the Maclaren Techno XT when I was pregnant with our daughter as we wanted an umbrella stroller to use in addition to our Mountain Buggy. We wanted something compact folding as our car boot is tiny however we didn't want a basic stroller either. The Techno seemed to fit the bill. The instructions state that the Techno is suitable to use from birth however I felt more comfortable using it from about 3 months onwards. The lowest recline position is still far from being flat however if you have a baby with reflux this could be a bonus. There are a number of recline positions however we tended to use only two, fully reclined and upright. Our baby didn't like being in between! I find the seat recline a little fiddly to use (2 clips, one on each side) however you soon get the hang of it.
The materials are good quality and it is a sturdy well made stroller. It is quite heavy but I still found it manageable to use on a regular basis. There are a wide range of colours you can choose from as well.
There is a mesh storage bag but this is tiny and virtually inaccesible when the stroller is in use (particularly in the recline position!). The handlebars are adjustable which is great for my husband who is very tall.
The swivel wheels can be locked if you wish as well (we have never needed to do this). We found the brake very stiff and actually hardly use it as it is such a pain to use. We were also disappointed that the wheels on the stroller started to squeak after only a few times using it. It may have just been our one though, not sure if this is a common problem or not?
The 5 point harness is very secure and my 15 month old still hasn't managed to escape it yet which is a good sign! There is a sun canopy but on our model this blocks out very little sun. I think the newest model has a larger sun canopy which is more effective but as I bought this for inside use (eg, malls, museum, etc) this wasn't really a problem for us.
We have enjoyed this stroller however in hindsight I probably wouldn't have purchased this model again. It would be great for someone who only wanted one pushchair with lots of features but as we bought this as a second pram I don't think we really needed a lot of the features. If I had my time again I would probably purchase the Triumph.
Pros
*Very compact folding*Looks stylish
*Reclines to a variety of positions
*Comes with rain cover as standard
*Lockable swivel wheels
*Quality materials
Cons
*Storage bag very difficult to access*Brakes hard to use
*Doesn't recline completely flat
*Wheels can squeak at times
*Sun canopy doesn't block as much sun as it could
