General Review

Aftern many hours, days, months of research we decided to go for the Spirit S3 08 black model.
Teutonia are big in the continent but only a few dealers in the UK.

After viewing in one of the dealers, we opted to save alot more money by purchasing through Ping Pong mail order ( http://www.pingpong-online.de/osc/ )in Germany. At the time (Oct 07) the Euro was not that bad and saved about £100 all in compared with the UK dealer.

We chose the Bassinet, main unit and Maxi Cosi adaptors.
The bassinet is buy far supiorior than the flimsy bad base Buggaboo one. We used it on many occasions as the travel cot also as it sat nicely on the floor. Another excellent feature is that the handle is in the hood which is perfectly balanced.

After about six months we said goodbye to the Bassinet and brought out the main seat which comes with the frame. by good design, the maxi cosi adaptors fold neatly below the chair so when you wish to use the car seat you dont have to go and find them in the garage etc.

both the chair and bassinet can be facing either way. Excellent to see all those first smiles and giggles! So many prams these days face away so you miss so much of what they are looking at.

The main chair has the footrest which folds away and back up right. The chair folds down completely flat to allow the little one to sleep for hours. The
cloth is uv protective and the visor hood closes so much that it can keep the sun out at most parts of the day.
The quality of the frame, wheels and suspension are of typical german quality. It really is the Audi of the pram world! The forward suspension seemed a little harsh at first, but now realise its perfect for when they get older and compensates for the added weight.
The wheels are foam filled rather than the puncture hungry air tyres. Every body I know with air tyres have had to deal with punctures when they are far from home/car. With the great suspension and foam wheels the pram glides along.

bad points (and I'm thinkig hard here.....)
when folded the forward wheel arch scrapes along the ground.
We have broken two of the bumper bars. However, Teutonia replaced them free of charge after a quick email.

Our little one is now 19 months and another is due in November and now the hunt for a twin has been started.
I really wish Teutonia made a similier Phil and Ted as I would purchase immedietly.

If you are looking for a solid very practical pram for country walks or just shopping malls, then look no further than Teutonia. The choice of colours are fantastic.
What my wife liked especially is that everbody who we know are really impressed by it and its not very often you see them in the UK.

Forget your quinny or bugaboo, go get yourself an Audi!!

Pros

non puncture tyres
uv filter material
aluminium frame
great suspension
forward or rear facing seat
good size basket included
good apron
many colours to choose from
choice of wheel designs
simple foot brake
lay flat seat/bed
adjustable handle height
simple close/open
sublime German build quality
easy to remove all wheels

Cons

not the lightest of prams (15kgs i think)
scratching the forward mud guard when opening on the ground.
