| compatibility > The minimalist look of the 4Rider is characteristic of the typical Mutsy style. This modern buggy is available in the single spoke version or the lightweight version. The travel cot, stroller seat, car seat or fun seat can be quickly and easily fitted onto the frame by means of the intelligent click system.
adjustable seat > Features of the seat also include full recline, a head enclosure for small babies, extendable leg rest, a removable front bar and extra-large protective hood with a peep hole window and large storage pocket. Even the seat depth can be adjusted for maximum comfort of its little occupant. The matching nursery bag can be attached to the back of the seat for hands-free strolling. reversible seat > The separate seat may be used with baby facing mum or facing the world. adjustable handle > The single-hand, easily adjustable foam-grip handle is super sturdy and comfortable for all who push it, even in the most extended position. steering > Thanks to the swivelling wheels at the front, this versatile 4Rider is extremely manoeuvrable in the city and also very stable in the woods or on the beach. The buggy is available in a tough single spoke version with pneumatic tyres and as a lightweight version, which is very user-friendly. folding > Like any Mutsy frame, the Mutsy 4Rider can be easily folded. The frame is folded by moving the safety bar up and the push bar down. The frame can be easily unfolded by releasing the fold-lock, which can be recognised by the red button. When folded, the frame is extremely compact and practical. finishings > The Mutsy 4Rider frame is available in 4 versions: the 4Rider single spoke standard version, the 4Rider single spoke next version, the 4Rider lightweight standard version and the 4Rider lightweight next version. The standard versions come with foam handles, the 'Next' versions, however feature leather handles. |

Definitely worth the splurge!

We’ve had our Mutsy 4 Rider Light for almost 2 years and we still love it. We were originally set on buying the Bugaboo Frog but when we went to see it in person and compared it side by side with the Mutsy, we quickly dismissed the Bugaboo. The Mutsy isn't much heavier than the Bugaboo, yet looks much sturdier. It is very easy to maneuver and handle. Both the Bugaboo and Mutsy offer forward and rear facing movement – the Bugaboo handlebar flips while the Mutsy seat must be lifted and rotated – but only the Mutsy can be folded with the seat on (in the forward facing position). You must remove the seat on the Bugaboo in order to fold it and the seat is not adjustable, you could only recline it (i.e. the seat always retains the same shape but you could tilt it back and forth). Meanwhile, the Mutsy seat is wider and you could adjust the back, the depth and the legs to the point where it completely folds outs horizontally. Very easy to fold and unfold. The rear wheels remove at the touch of a button and are rubber, not air-filled like the Bugaboo, so it rides really smoothly and you don't have to worry about getting a flat. The basket is also much easier to use with a large diaper bag – my diaper bag would’ve never fit in the Bugaboo basket/bag.We originally purchased it with the bassinet, unaware that it was optional. That was our only regret. Living outside of LA, we are highly dependent on our cars; the car seat adapter works great with the Graco Snug Ride and we found that, as pretty as it is, we had little to no use for the bassinet – it’s much easier to remove the carrier from the car than to remove the baby from the carrier. We began using the stroller seat when our son was about 9 months old. He is currently a tall and heavy (35”/30lbs) 21-month old and he still rides and sleeps comfortably in his stroller. Our Mutsy has gotten heavy use outside of car travel, too – our babysitter has used it as much as twice a day to take him for long walks around our neighborhood and, for a long time, our son would only nap in his stroller. We have also taken it with us on air travel with minimal added effort. It is heavier than many other less expensive strollers, but we only carry it in and out of our car trunks. Incidentally, it fits fine in both our Civic and Accord – removing the rear wheels does make it easier to fit into our Civic but you could still get it in with the wheels on.
An added plus was their customer service. Shortly before the 1-year warranty was out my husband called them about the wear on the foot rest and the fact that the foot brake would sometimes stick – I did take issue with the brake but chalked up the fuzzies on the seat to normal wear & tear. To my surprise, Mutsy quickly resolved both issues without any added effort on our part. They replaced the entire seat and the chassis!
In spite of the money we lost on the bassinet sale, we still think our Mutsy was worth every dime and then some. A much better buy, overall, than the Bugaboo – especially if you don’t have a need for the bassinet. It was definitely worth the splurge to buy a well-designed, durable stroller like the Mutsy - I've known many people who bought ended up buying multiple less-expensive strollers and were never as happy with any of them as we are with our Mutsy.
Pros
Love it all!Cons
No complaints.Disappointing

We were initially very happy with the basinette fitting on the pram, however within days of switching to the stroller setting one of the safety clips on the harness snapped and it took the supplier three weeks to provide a new part - very frustrating. There is little or no suspension on non footpath surfaces and the tyres would be more effective if they were pneumatic. The pram is difficult to manoeuvre up a couple of steps and you have to lift the whoel pram up and carry it. As soon as you switch from footpath to unsealed track the baby is woken up by the rough ride. Overall I would not recommend the mutsy and we're looking to purchase a 3 wheeler for off road walks. Also, the rain cover for the basinette fitting is really ugly - all plastic with an ugly hole that gives you access to the baby. The rain cover for the stroller is also a bit unwieldy.Pros
Good for tall people, and a smooth ride on footpaths.Cons
Difficult to steer, not much suspension on non sealed paths which means a really bumpy ride for the baby which usually wakes them up.STURDY stroller!!

The Mutsy 4Rider is an amazingly sturdy stroller! I would agree with all the positives mentioned so far, but I will add that it pushes wonderfully in the snow, ice, and slush!I won the stroller on babygizmo.com, so cost was not an issue, though I do find their accessories on the spendy side. But if the accessories are as sturdy and well-made as the stroller itself, then it is worth it! I have yet to purchase a bassinet or other accessories, but I have confidence in Mutsy and don't think I'll be disappointed! As for it being heavy...it is a bit heavy, yes, but not really any different than the weight of all those other sturdy high-end strollers out there! (And believe me, I've done my homework trying to find "that perfect stroller"!) I am very satisfied with the 4Rider. Expecting #2 this spring....hmmm...now if only Mutsy would design a double stroller as awesome as their single ones! (I mean a real double, not the duo attachment for small babies that attaches to the urban rider frame...)
Happy strolling! :)
Pros
My 1 year-old loves the fact that she can sit up HIGH, very upright if she wants, can hold onto the bumper bar, have her little legs out straight or crossed with the footbar raised, or have a little nap fully enclosed by the awesome canopy!Cons
No cup holder...but you can buy one from Valco Baby or Quinny on Ebay...Love It!!

Love my mutsy 4 rider, light. Got it in red. It is a spunky looking pram which does all I need of it.Pros
Sturdy enough for off road and easy to steer round tight corners (can turn it easily with 1 hand). Nice looking pram. All functions easy to use. Easy to fold and assemble. Reversible seat. Easy to access shopping basket. Sturdy break. Does not tip easily even with weight on the back. Great skate board for a toddler. Rain cover fits well and opens at the front. Wheels do not puncture (a problem that I have had with other prams). Large hood. Easy to change front wheels to and from swivel position.Cons
Hood does not fold all the way back (or at least I am unable to do it as yet!) and still quite large when folded with wheels on ( quite compact with wheels off and these pop off easily enogh). All in all a fantastic pram!
