General Review
My wife and I live in a 2nd floor apartment in Astoria, Queens, NY. We took our 14 month-old and infant out in the powertwin for the first time yesterday. It did ok going down the stairs thanks to the neumatic tires. They designed this thing for short people. I'm 6'2" and have to stoop to push it. My wife is 5'6" and found the handle bar a bit low. Our 14 month old son is in the 95th percentile of his height range and he's nearly hit the roof of the seat enclosure. So, in a couple months, he may have outgrown the stroller. The designers made this stroller short and easily maneuverable. But the front seat doesn't recline and since you have to put the bigger kid in front (to prevent tipping to the rear) it loses it's usefulness for a growing family. Also, they've skimped on some details: the handle bar is loose and jiggles--I'm rethinking going up an down stairs; the tires are rubber and air-filled, but the wheels are plastic; the cheapo cardboard frame around the seats is tacky and impractical. Let's face it, transporting a toddler and an infant around NYC is not going to be easy. Subway doors, stairs and tight quarters in restaurants and shops make most double strollers obsolete in this town. My wife and I are going back to keeping the infant in the Ergo or Bjorn and putting our toddler back in the Baby Jogger City Series. (Which, by the way, is a bullet proof, super maneuverable and 'best of class' stroller.) We also look forward to seeing what Bugaboo does with a double design. Keep your fingers crossed.
Pros
It holds an infant and a small toddler.
Neumatic tires make for a smooth ride.
Easy to collapse and store.
Cons
It does not hold an infant and a large toddler.
Plastic wheels.
Short handle bar not suitable to an adult over 6 feet tall.
Handle rotates for only two different angles and jiggles when locked in place. Doesn't feel safe for inclines and stairs.
