| Manufacturers description |
| What is it? To put it simply it’s beauty with brains – a stylish and lightweight pushchair that combines with a soft carrycot to give you the perfect urban combination, suitable from birth all the way through to toddlers.
What does it do? It takes a fresh, modern look at how to get around with your baby. Researched on the streets of the world’s style capitals: London, Paris, Tokyo and New York, we created a system that answers all the problems faced by modern, urban parents. Clean lines and minimalist design give it a distinctive, modern look, but without compromising on comfort, safety or ease of use. The carrycot provides genuine support and protection from birth, and is rear-facing – giving you plenty of eye contact with your newborn. When your baby’s old enough to sit up properly, the cot clicks off to create an adjustable pushchair that also reclines to a lie-flat position if needed. Once you’re home, the lightweight chassis folds easily away for storage. It’s stylish, fashionable and beautiful. It’s practical, functional and intelligent. It’s Dazzle.

Pretty but doesn't last

Yes, the Dazzle is beautiful and has got good design elements. The peekaboo flap in the hood is closed via a magnet which is a nice feature. The basket at the bottom can be accessed from the side via valcro (good when the seat is flat. It's light, I can fold it down in 2 secs and there's a lot of length in the seat. But what people have said about the poor quality is true. The brakes on my first Dazzle stuffed up and I couldn't lock it properly. The Australian Silvercross agent is awesome and she got it fixed and loaned me a pram. Then the bolt on the leg strap broke. The agent got me a new pram. So I can speak from having owned 2 Dazzles.
Given the price, I think it's a great "occassional use" pram to have in the car. But it's not an everyday pram.
Pros
- very light- good price
- narrow so it's easy to take to the supermarket, on public transport
- Good looking
- Very easy to fold thus making it easy to get in and out of the car
- easy to gain access to the storage area below because the sides could be pulled down.
- On the 2008 model, the padded part of the straps could easily fall off - in fact I lost one. The 2009 shoulder strap was locked into the side strap, making it easier to stay on. Much better design.
Cons
- The wheels do squeak after a short while making it very very annoying.- The sun canopy is not even close to being adequate. My daughter is always crying because the sun goes straight into her eyes
- It is not easy to release the brake
- It tips over very easily if you hang anything at all on the handlebar, but it isn't made to hang anything on the bar
- it's very difficult to manouver with one hand (forget about talking on the phone or drinking coffee while you're pushing it)
- It's very difficult to push it on cobblestones, gravel and grass.
- Not much storage below
UPDATE: Looks funky but not great quality

I am the original poster of "looks funky but not great quality".After about 6 months this stroller fell apart. One of the screws on the base came out making it unusable. my handy husband fixed it with another screw which held up for another 2 months and now it is broken again. DO NOT BUY THIS STROLLER! it is really a piece of garbage and not worth your money. it contantly tips over and is super dangerous.
Pros
pretty, reclinesCons
junky, tips, falls apart, sunshade not long enough, harness is hard to use, and annoying to push.Absolutely Dazzling!

I will admit up front that I am an absolute pram addict, and that my DAZZLE is the 8th pram I have owned with my 2 boys!I have recently purchased the DAZZLE and love it! I had been looking at these for ages, and was going to buy for my 2nd son from birth (with the bassinet attachment), however, decided on a bigger 4 wheel pram. That has now gone back to the company (Valco) for 'assessment' as I found the design of the harness to be very dangerous.
Oh how I wish I had purchased the DAZZLE to begin with! It is so easy to use, fold and store. My son is very comfortable in it's big interior, and the fabric is a dream to clean.
Pros
Beautiful, eye-catching design & colour. Multi level seating. Big, long interior. Wheel-base doesn't get in the way when walking. Light, easy fold & handle for carrying. Soft, washable fabric.Cons
Storage basket can be difficult to access when seat flat. Inadequate sunshade for Aus conditions.Dazzling but not perfect

The Dazzle is beautiful and eye-catching but I've had a few problems with mine. The most significant of these problems is the brake. It's easy to put on but IMPOSSIBLE to take off. It's stiff to say the least and normally I have to get down on hands and knees and force it to try and open with both hands. It's been like that since day one.
The lock/unlock mechanism on one of my front wheels broke very quickly- perhaps after three uses. It gets permanantly jammed on and comes off the plastic it's meant to pivot on. These two problems occuring so early makes me think that it was cheap, shoddy construction.
The seat is large and the colours it comes in are fabulous. The fold is easy and not stiff. It is prone to tip backwards so you can't hang anything off it.
Pros
Stylish designLightweight
Great colours
Big seat
Cons
Cheaply madeWheels mark easily from rocks etc
Accessories expensive and limited colour choice
Does tip
extremely sturdy

my sister accidently backed over my sons dazzle after i folded it to put in my van and then drove over it again not realizing it...and once we jacked up the van and were able to get it from under it the stroller unfolded like nothing happened.Pros

we bought this as a second stroller for traveling and leaving in the car kind of thing. we've had it for about 2 months now. so we took this along with us on our transcontinental trip which it was great for since it's super light, small and easy to fold. i've never owned another light weight stroller before so i can't compare it to a maclaren or anything but stuffed to the gills diaper bags for long trips on the handlebars makes the stroller tip pretty easily... without the baby in it. with the baby in.. you can add a few more lbs but still need to be careful. i like the fabric that it's made out of since you can wash it very easily. the padded harness covers do not stay on so they're slightly pointless. the buckle is hard to click and isn't the greatest quality. the basket underneath snaps onto the metal frame underneath but ours is broken already somehow which is not such a big deal. the silver wheels got pretty dirty right away as you can imagine but are still bigger and cooler looking than maclarens. the wheels are squeaky and the breaks don't work already so that's why i'm not giving this stroller too many stars. i bought this stroller online for 100 dollars so i can deal with its downfalls. overall i'm pretty happy that i have a lightweight stroller that i can just throw in and out of the trunk quickly but i'm not too impressed with the quality of it.Pros
funky design, small, easy to open and fold, light, easy to clean, full recline, great sun canopy, sturdy base.Cons
tips too easily, squeaky wheels, rattly push, breaks don't work, bad buckle, poor basket strap snap quality, wheels show dirt.absolutely great stroller for quick tripps

I got a chance to own and test drive the Dazzle for past two months. I like my Maclaren for lightweight buggy choice and I thought nothing could top it. The Dazzle does it absolutely. It's by far the smoothest riding lightweight stroller I ever had. It's design is so sleek and modern it will turn heads. The handles are quite comfy.I also liked how the canopy window had a magnetic closure instead of the usual velcro. The Dazzle definitely has Silver Cross quality. Overall it's my favorite lightweight stroller and I would highly recommend it.Pros
lightweight, super easy to stear, large canopy, great tasty colours, very sleek design and unique look - definitely headturner!Cons
can be little shacky on uneven surface, not all terrain choice, wheels can be loud but not more than maclaren'sGood idea let down by very shoddy construction

Used this for 5 months (the age of our daughter). The brakes are flimsy - the won't apply properly and when not applied they slip and catch while pushing the chair. The zip on the carrycot is cheap and has broken. The bolts that hold the foot strap have broken on BOTH sides. The wheels squeak and are designed in such a way that they can't be taken apart to re-grease them. And now one of the main frame bolts has sheared so the buggy cant actually be put up any more. The combination idea is a good one, and the mechanism clever, but the build quality is absolute RUBBISH. Let down by a trusted brand, going back to the shop tomorrow.Pros
Small and light. Chair mounted carry cot works well.Cons
Breask and falls apart very quickly.Nice looking stroller

This is a very nice looking stroller, that is ok to push the handles take some getting used to. There isnt much storage as with most strollers and my baby keeps slouching in the seat.Pros
- Easy to fold- Looks good
- nice recline
- High seat, definetly wont be outgrown height wise.
Cons
- Hard to steer one handed- Handles can become uncomfortable
- Wouldnt be suitable for a short person
- Baby slouches in seat
Fit for purpose

This is a distinctive pram, with a beautiful build quality. The option purchased came without the bassinette, but the recline is virtually flat, so suitable for a small baby. The seat isn't reversible, which is a shame, but it IS a stroller, not a full pram and the viewing window is really good -it holds in place with magnets! The fabric and detailing are beautiful, but this option came without the blanket, apron and soft bassinette.
It is very smooth on flat surfaces, and an absolute dream to push in shopping centres and on flat pavements. It can easily be handled and steered with one hand. In fact, that is one of the best features of this pram, aside from its awesome looks. The genuine single hand fold. Up and down with a couple of easy movements!
The seat is quite long and I imagine it will fit my very tall child for a long time. The sun hood isn't that wide though, which may be fine for less sunnier climates than Australia, but here you really need something more, and Silver Cross don't have a sunshade available for the Dazzle - yet.
It is incredibly lightweight, however it isn't a "small" stroller. It is quite long/tall, so might not fit in a small car boot. I also found that I kept kicking the wheels and brake bar when doing anything more than a stroll, which makes it a rather strange size. Taller than average stroller, with non-adjustable, quite high handles, yet short wheel base...
The suspension and foam filled wheels give a pretty smooth ride on flat surfaces, but it isn't really built for rough terrain. Bumpy, uneven surfaces make it rattle and shake quite a bit...
I also found the foot brake extremely stiff, and this is by far the most annoying thing about it. I'm hoping that this improves with time.
The storage bag underneath is adequate and is easy to access when the seat is upright (nappy change sleeve, bottle of water, a few wraps...). However, when the seat is reclined, it becomes quite hard to access the basket and stuff that was in it now protrudes and pokes the seat as it lays flat!
All in all, it's a good-looking, lightweight stroller, that will fit for a long time, especially if one also opts for the bassinette, but there are still a few things that could be improved.
Pros
Nice qualityGood looks
Smooth ride on flat surfaces
Lightweight
Easy fold
Nice to steer
Roomy seat for tall child
Cons
Very stiff brakeNon-adjustable handles
Strange size
Awkward storage
Not for "off road"
