Beautiful to look at and a joy off road

General Review

I bought a second hand 2008 Speedi in Twist with Dreami cot in Sulphur and Maxi Cosi Cabriofix car seat in Lemonade. I adore the colour and just love using it off-road as it allows me to walk to many of the places I used to visit pre-baby.

This is my off-road pushchair so it doesn't often get used for shopping. I did take it in to London Waterloo on the train for lunch on the south bank with the cot and this was very successful as it is a very open area and the restaurant was large.

It is easy to steer as it is light and responsive even on deep sand (with front wheel locked, though this makes it difficult to steer on harder ground). The down side of the lightness is that it can bounce around a bit but then this can also help get over gnarly tree roots. I use self sealing liquid in the tyres to reduce punctures making it possible to go across thorny terrain without getting a flat.

The supports for cot and car seat are sturdy, there is some rocking with the cot due to it's length it felt safe to use in the early months before my baby became more curious, now I use the reducer seat.

Pros

Easy and light to steer, folds and opens easily, rear wheel pop off for cleaning and putting in the car. It fits in the back of my Ford Focus (wheels off). I used it with a cot and the car seat. I adore the colour Twist as the green blends in well with the outdoors while looking bright and vibrant in a more urban setting.

Cons

Braking system can be a bit sticky to use needing the wheels to be in the right position to set and release the 'hand' brake.

Having to stop and go to the front of the pushchair when the front wheel needs locking out (particularly on heathland where the terrain changes alot)

Things that shouldn't be changed as they would effect it's off-road performance:
*Too wide for a standard train carriage.
*Minimal storage space

General Review

It's a great pram, easy to use and take travelling.

Pros

Good deal, easy to use, great for newborns with the dreami. Nice to be abel to choose a different colour. Not big and bulky. Good pram to go shopping with.

Cons

No acc. with the seat. Have to buy the covers seppeately. Need a bit of space in the car to take it with you. Not a big basket at the bottom of the pram to put your shopping or handbag.
