A bit disappointed - look at other models!

Like the other reviews, I am a bit disappointed in the Dash. I deliberated and reviewed heaps of prams for around 4 months because my 3 and a half year old toddler is disabled, plus quite tall for her age and I need a double pram that would fit her heightwise, plus suit my new baby. I finally settled on the Dash. I have had this pram for 3 months and have had both kids in it only twice.I have found the pram quite heavy to use with both kids in it. It pulls to the right for some reason (although I don't know if this is because of my disabled daughter leaning sometimes to the right, plus she was in the smaller double kit because my newborn didn't have the neck control to sit up in it in the rear position yet).
Today I went to view some display homes and if anyone who's done this knows, you are going in and out of homes and have to lean on the handle bars to lift the front wheel over doorsteps. I looked at about 7-8 houses, so if you count entry and exit this is less than 20 times and the handle bar has today broken and will not take any downward pressure now.
Off to BabyBunting tomorrow...
The handlebar break is a good idea, but only if you can do it one handed. It is very annoying to have to put your shopping down (or worse, your baby) to put the brake on. There have been times I have held the pram with my foot while I put my baby in the car. It is also a bit awkward to put baby in the back while manouvering underneath the handlebars. If I had my time over I wouldn't have chosen this pram for this option.
I also have issues with the shopping basket (no good at all if baby is still in newborn position), accessories are not included, which means if you can't or don't buy the covers for the pram your baby is exposed to the elements totally (unless you handrig blankets & pegs). Also you can't remove the double kit from the front without manouvering it from under the canopy.
Pros
* Very easy to fold down* Double kit is still best idea EVER!
* Easy to steer (if only one baby in).
* Easy clean material
Cons
* Handlebar brake* Heavy to lift into car
* No back or cover on the pram when baby is in newborn position
* Shopping basket is hard to access when baby is in newborn position
* Double kit awkward to remove from front
* Double kit will not take taller toddler while you wait for baby to be strong enough to sit up at rear of pram.
* Canopy not strong enough to take blankets as a makeshift cover from the elements.
* Quite expensive - not worth it.
Disappointing Poor Quality

We bought the Dash with high expectations. I am over six feet tall and was glad to have the adjustable handle. Within three days the handle adjusting mechanism broke and it will only stay in the lowest position. Two days later the locking mechanism of the stroller itself broke. Now when we push down on the handle to lift the front wheel over a curb, the stroller frequently begins to fold on itself - risking severe injury to the child, especially if a second child was attached to the back. We are extremely disappointed with the quality of such a highly anticipated and expensive stroller.Pros
Good ideaCons
Not safeGreat idea - poor execution. More design needed.

We were first in line for our new Dash and just 9 days after were very disappointed to discover there was a fault with the first batch of pushers in Australia. The handle continued to drop down into the brake position, causing the brake to activate, in a very sudden movement which was both dangerous and inconvenient. We struggled with it for weeks, waiting for a new handle but gave up and returned it for a sport model. Although some of the features we wanted are specific to the dash and therefore lacking on the sport, we were ten times happier with the new buggy which also seems to handle better and has a better overall design.DON'T PURCHASE UNTIL THE HANDLE ISSUE IS RESOLVED.
In support of Phil & Ted's they were very helpful throughout this process and very accommodating however we wished we've not been sold a faulty product.
Pros
-Lovely fabric, easy to take out and wash in machine.-Plastic foot area - easy wipe down
Rain cover and UV accessories fit beautifully and zip on for persistent toddlers who like to pull the covers off.
- hood much better design than sport
- hand brake (although could be improved)
Cons
- hand brake requires two hands to activate or de-activate. Not practical when on the go. ALSO FAULT AS ABOVE.- In my experience, it doesn't handle as well as the Sport. Seems to be weighted differently.
Very clever & effective pram for 2

This is the first Phil & Teds pram that I have owned, and I am impressed! I have used two other double prams - one with a toddler seat & one side-by-side, and this is far and away the best!Of course it has its drawbacks, but after a months use I firmly believe that it is one of the best prams for two!
Pros
* Great for using when only have one child or when have two* Easy to use (though instructions are a tad hard to follow)
* Well-padded seats make for a comfy ride for the kids
* Smooth & easy to push (even with 16kg 3 yo and a newborn)
* Easy to fold
* Basket underneath is a reasonable size
* Doubles kit seat lies back a little further than normal and has been fine for my daughter since 2 months old
* Easy to adjust seat position
Cons
* Not able to put brake on with one hand, or when hanging anything on handlebar* Have to buy all accessories seperately!
* Can sometimes accidently kick doubles kit seat when walking (hurts you more than hurts them!)
Some problems

You can not put the brake on with one hand. You can not have a tall toddler in the toddler seat and use the hood.
Barely a cm between toddler and baby when baby in lying position.
Where the baby lays, the back padding will not stand up on its own - this is a problem becuase you need to lay your baby further down, which means possibly more baby squashing.
The plastice cover for the back of the pram (to protect babe) will not sit straight, it caves in, which is a problem if you want to hang a nappy bag off the handle bar.
You need to have a nappy bag with big enough straps so that it can sit under where the bay lays - and hope that you don't have big hoofs and keep kicking your back.
Pros
s really nice idea for a pramglides along really well
