Good but...

I bought the 06 Flyer for my son and received it at my baby shower in July of 06. I should have taken it out and walked around the block with a weight in it multiple times in my 30 day return window, but being new to this whole experience, I didn't. If I would have done the trial walks, I would have sent the stroller back and opted for a Peg Perego. Here's why: the wheels squeaked no matter what I did, shook violently with any weight in it at a speed faster than a crawl, the basket scraped against the wheels with anything in it (especially in revers), and when the handlebar was in reverse, I kicked and tripped over the wheels. That being said, when I discovered this when my son was a newborn, I had to do something, so I contacted Bumbleride about the squeaking wheels and basket issues. I spoke with one gal and she was immensely helpful and sent me new wheels and basket. Apparently, there were a batch of defective wheels that caused squeaking, so the replacement of both were free. However, that did not fix the kicking the wheel issue and nothing will. Also, my son is a "hot" child, in that he does not require multiple layers of anything, therefore, once he was out of the pram stage, there was no need for a boot. The fabric at the bottom (which I have found to be not very supported and I have a small toddler) and foot area is not attached to anything. Without the fabric attached to anything, it often falls through the unsupported bottom, obviously leaving a bit of a problem.
I like the look of the stroller, the reversable handle (which is the primary reason I bought in the first place), and overall it is nice for long walks and days. We took it to Disneyland and it was great for my son to nap in and sit for long periods of time.
Pros
*Great looking.*Additional fabric.
*Fully reclining.
*Pram features without the pram.
*Excellent if your newborn/infant doesn't like hanging out in their car seat, allowing them the freedom to hang out in the fully reclined "bassinet" of the stroller (my son LOVED this!)
*Easy to fold and relatively light (more so than a Graco)
Cons
*Seat cover falling through the seat area*Kicking the wheels when in reverse
*We have a Subaru wagon and it takes up half the trunk area when folded.
*a bit pricey, wish I would have spent less for a similar stroller or more for a better stroller (not worth the $$$)
BOTTOM LINE: most likely would not have purchased this if I would have known what I know now
The flyer works great

This carriage had the exact "look" that I wanted. It's unique colors are gorgeous. However it is impossible to push when the baby is facing you. EXTREMELY difficult to go up a curb without feeling like the handle bar is going to snap off.Pros
Beautiful colorsGreat Height of the handle bar
Cons
Exhausting / Impossible to push !BAD buy

I purchased the bumbleride online really looking for a full featured stroller with a reversable handlebar. I also liked the look and interchangeable fabrics.Don't be fooled by the pretty look. I used my bumbleride about five times before being overwhelmed by its many flaws and selling it used, taking a $150 loss to do so. If you really want that reversible handlebar, go with the venezia.
Pros
Pretty. Also, hood is the best I've seen as far as actually shielding baby.Cons
Pulls to one side when steering, VERY large, even when folded, wheels squeaked even when dry, I tried two special lubricants I got from a bike shop but never could stop the squeaking,Hard to fold, construction seemed 'rickety,' VERY poor steering, it pulled to one side and hurt to push straight, even in the mall! Handlebar never felt level.
ALso, snaps that secure seat in place seem cheap.
Bad Design!

Well read the comments made by Maria from NYC- I agree with everything she says. No point in repeating her.The bumbleride is impossible to steer when the handlebars are reversed! It has obviously been designed as a forward facing stroller and they just decided to add on some reversable handles- the whole design of the stroller fights against this.
very disappointing if you feel strongly (as I do) about having your baby facing you.
Pros
it's pretty... that's about itCons
very very bad manouverabilitydo not by this stroller see email sent to co.

Our 2 and and a half month old flyer is horrible. Pushing an infantwho is 15 lbs. facing me, the handle bar cannot leverage the
carriage to go up a curb. Tried putting foot on the bar by the
wheels, and it is a chore to fit a foot between the body of the
carriage and the bar. One really has to struggle to do that. What
were your designers thinking?
The wheels are horrible in maneuverability and hard to steer. This
is not really suitable for outside (walking on bumpy sidewalks or off
of pavement), not to mention the fact that it is not possible to push
and pull the carriage back and forth in one spot in order to rock the
baby to sleep.
Walking is also a problem. Who designs a carriage where my feet
actually hit the wheels when I push a carriage during walking at a
normal walking speed? I cannot believe that I have to consciously
control my self to take baby steps when I am pushing the stroller. It
is a stroller, not a crawler! I am average height, 5 feet 5 inches
tall, and this should not be a problem. Did you design it for 4 feet
people?
The basket is too small, one bottle of water makes the basket rest on
the wheels, and pretty soon the basket will have a hole.
I am so totally dissatisfied with your stroller, tried to take it
back, with a receipt and the box to BuyBuyBaby, they refused after
placing a call to you, stating that it is not resalable, and that it
is not defective. I believe it is defective based on the above. It
is a horrible stroller, one that should not even be produced.
Costing $300.00 I thought i should be a Cadillac, bit this is a Kia.
Autos have a lemon law, is there a stroller lemon law?

After lots of research, we went with the 2006 Flyer. As others have mentioned, it is lightweight and stylish. My husband and I are tall and our feet hit the wheels, making us stumble, when the handlebar is in "reverse" position with baby facing us.Pros
StylishLightweight
Easy to adjust almost everything on it
Cons
Have had to order new wheels (very squeaky!)Cup holder pops off
Wish it folded up a little smaller
Pinches fingers when folding down if carseat adapter is in place
Tripping over wheels in reverse position.
reliable, durable and lightweight.

Lightweight stroller, and you have the ability to have have your child face you.Pros
Less expensive, but with the same features are the bugaboo. Looks great - and plenty of people stop to inquire about the stroller.Cons
Cup holder comes off easily. sometimes folding the stroller takes patience and time. wheels had to be replaced (always squeeking). When the baby is facing you, the stroller isn't great going up curbs. A little bulky in our car (and it's an suv).Great, Stylish Stroller, but could be more sturdy!

I've had the Bumbleride Flyer 2006 for about 4 months now. I have a 9 month old, and this stroller has been great for indoor activites like shopping, but is not really suitable for outside (walking on bumpy sidewalks or off of pavement). The stroller is super-stylish, though, and I've enjoyed the ability to turn the handle backwards to make it look more like a pram. However, I've not been so happy with it's sturdiness - I also have a BOB stroller, and the BOB just feels a lot more durable than the Bumbleride (but is lots less pretty). However, I like that you can buy replacement fabric kits for this stroller, and that everything is completely washable. I intend to change the color when I have my second child in April.Pros
Relatively lightEasy to fold
Everything is removable and washable.
Pretty.
Cons
Storage basket is small and hard to get to.No cup holders, and the one sold with it does not work.
Handle has too much "play" in it.
