| Manufacturers description |
| City Jet is a cool Emmaljunga stroller designed especially for the big city, combining a lightweight frame with maximum manoeuvrability.
The City Jet is suitable for a child from 6 months to approximately 3 years of age. The stroller is suitable from birth with the addition of the City Carrycot. To get into the low weight class our engineers and designers have fought for every gram. Through innovative design and a unique mix of aluminium and lightweight steel tubing from Swedish SSAB, we have succeeded in reducing the weight, without sacrificing comfort and quality. Swivel wheels allow the stroller to virtually float along the pavement. The wheels can also be fixed for off-road terrain. The City Jet includes a seat-unit, hood and raincover. The City Carrycot can be bought separately in a colour of your choice. City Jet allows you to make light work of the tough big city! |

Outstanding New Emmaljunga!
Reviewed by: Donna Hall from California, Aug 06, 2006General Review
I always wanted a new Emmaljunga pram. When my search began for the perfect pram for our new baby, I tried desperately to figure out a way to import a new Emmaljunga without it costing over $1,000. Ultimately, I'm glad my quest failed. When Emmaljunga premiered the City Jet in May of this year I was stunned to see a stroller in their lineup. I thought this might be something I definitely couldn't live without. Thanks to a visiting friend from Sweden, I was able to procure my own City Jet. Mine is in the soft lime color just like the one pictured.
I left for two weeks of vacation to Lake Tahoe just a couple of days after receiving the City Jet and decided that I was going to bring the City Jet and no other stroller. I was going to put this new addition through the paces.
The City Jet has been amazing. It's much lighter than any other Emmaljunga on the market, coming in at around 28 lbs. It folds easily and I don't have trouble hoisting it into the back of my van. It's not my every day "car stroller", but it sure is nice to be able to take it places.
The seat on the City Jet is a bucket style which is also an unusual feature for Emmaljunga. The seat faces forward or reverse and reclines to 3 different positions. The chassis can be folded with the seat attached in either the rear or forward facing position.
The wheels are nice and large. The double swivel front wheels are about 8.5" across and the rearfixed wheels are 10" across. They are not air filled so there's no worry of a flat tire or constantly checking pressures.
The fabrics on the City Jet are really first class. Many of the portions of this stroller are made from a micro-fiber type of material. It wipes clean easily witha baby wipe! When a real cleaning is necessary, the fabrics remove for washing.
The nap bar rotates to 3 different positions and is easily removed. The basket is huge with a nice rigid bottom. I have been able to load a large, filled diaper bag, my purse, camera bag an a large bottle of water in it with no problem. The handle adjusts to 6 positions. The highest one is really too high for me and I'm 5'8". It would be really nice for a tall person. The lowest position makes for easy pushing by my 4 year old son who is 44" tall. The hood provides full coverage and has a flip out visor extension for even added sun protection. Unsnap the hood from the back of the seat and you could pull it all the way down to the nap bar.
There is adjustable suspension. With the twist of a nob, you can switch between soft and hard suspension. I haven't found a need yet to use the hard suspension mode. Having the soft suspension option was really nice on some of the unpaved paths at the lake.
Pros
New Emmaljunga stylingAdjustable suspension
Huge basket
Fantastic fabric and 21 color choices
A lighter weight alternative to the usual Emmaljunga pram
Cons
While I don't like snack trays, some might find the absence of one a draw back. There is also no adult cup holder; however, there are so many after market options for adding this feature that I don't see this as a negative for me personally. The cost is also prohibitive for many, especially after paying the international shipping fees, VAT and import taxes to boot.
