not my cup of tea

i bought mine for my first daughter when she was about 6 months old. my first observation and dissapointment was the fact that the straps were to big to adjust to hold her in properly. secondly the hard plastic and metal hood connections were in just the right place for her to whack her head on them all the time! it is also heavy and awkward to fold and takes up sooo much space. it doesnt steer nicely and the handle and footplate get scratched and ripped when folding it. the fabric faded quickly and looked tatty after the first wash. lastly the hood makes a hideous clicking noise when you adjust it that tends to wake the baby up.Pros

Very dissapointed with the pram.Very heavy, at 14 kg. So I find it quiet heavy to get in and out of the boot. Sometimes very difficult to manouver around shopping centres, thru narrow spots. The seat has 3 reclines, and when bubs is sitting up she hits her head very frequently on the side of the hood attachment, there is no padding, so she hits her head on the plastic fittings, making her cry. Very dissapointed that its made this way, no one has commented from reviews I have read on this issue, however it's the main reason why after having it for a year, I'm going to buy another pram. This is a bad design fault.
The pram overall is okay. Easy to stear with one hand.
Really you get what you pay for.
However if I was buying a pram for my first child again I wouldn't buy this one.

Bought the Beema Mid 2006, gumnut colour. Was initially very happy with the purchase, still am, however there are a few cons with the pram. Its too heavy to take on flights, unlike the strollers or lighter prams. Therefore pram got stored in luggage area of plane when travelling overseas and got damaged as a result. We own 2 Ford Falcons, one car has a gas tank which the pram doesn't fit into. The other ford doesn't have a gas tank, fits into the boot however not much room for shopping, possibly a few bags. The wheels do come off, which is good, as alot of prams we looked at didn't have this option.
The pram is very good to steer, doesn't feel like 14 kgs. I use the pram a few times a week, out walking and shopping, very practical, however have had problems fitting it thru checkouts. The material isn't as easy to clean as possibly other prams. When folding the pram down the handle can easily get scratched. Overall for the price its a nice pram.
