Great capsule system, but pram has shortcomings.

Reviewed by: Sarah from Australia, Nov 04, 2006

General Review

This is a well priced functional pram that works extremely well as a capsule system when you have a newborn baby, however once you no longer use the pram/capsule system there is a number of shortcomings with this pram.

Pros

The pram is very sturdy and easy to use with the capsule attachment. My baby never woke when she was moved from the car to the pram in her capsule. The capsule attaches easily to the pram, and the hood of the capsule and the pram provided excellent blockout of sun and light.

Cons

Shortcomings with the pram include a tendency to tip backwards with any weight on the back (such as a cappy bag, or shopping bags), lightweight material on the side, difficulty putting on and taking off the footmuff, wobbly front wheel, and difficulty accessing the storage area underneath the pram. If the pram is collapsed without the back being lowered the seat adjustment spoke will pop out, and is very difficult to put back in. My baby sits slouched on an angle in this pram. Also you are not able to adjust the 5 point harness, which means it is ill fitting and my baby at 7 months still slips out of the harness.

***** Best Pram Ever *****

Reviewed by: Yvette from Australia, Jun 07, 2006

General Review

We purchased this pram together with the capsule for our first child and have never regretted it.

At first we had a couple of problems with the wheels (the front wheel got the wobbles, even in shopping centres, obviously just a lemon, so Babylove replaced the wheels for us & its never been better!)

Easy to fold & unfold, metal foot plate (so it doesn't damage as easy as the plastic ones!), doesn't take up alot of room in the boot/trunk and even though it doesn't have alot of storage pockets near the handle like some other prams, it has HEAPS of storage underneath and when the capsule is in use, loads of extra storage at the end of the capsule (near feet) where the child would noramlly lay.

The capsule is awesome too, it snaps on the pram in seconds and off again to return to the car bracket. No need to strap and unstrap the child, he/she is already to go. Nothing handier! Also doubles as a rocker & seat for feeding when out & about.

Just so you know, we also have the Trekker and the Tribute. Trekker is awesome for travelling and the Tribute is handy, however utterly useless for walking anywhere but a shopping centre. As most of the weight is over the swivelling wheel, even when its locked straight, it constantly vears to the left and is almost impossible to control. And if that wasn't annoying enough, the back seat is suppose to be for children over 6 months! Not so great when you have an infant & a toddler to cart around! Plus when the child sitting in the back seat is 6 months old + there is NOT alot of leg room. My nearly 2 year struggles to sit comfortably.

Pros

See above - very versitile

Cons

None found yet & have had the pram for 2 years
