A good competitor to the Zapp...
Reviewed by: Mrsdarcy from Sydney, Jun 14, 2010General Review
Let me preface this review by saying that I own an older Nuna (2008 or 2009 I think) and the stroller may have changed since this model. The Nuna folds and unfolds easily (two handed) which always tends to sell me on the stroller. It is compact folded but not an umbrella or quicksmart/zapp type fold (compared to the fold on those, it's a peach!). It is narrower and shorted folded then most strollers on the marker(the bee,for instance).
On first examination I thought it looked like a doll's stroller and the handles seemed so low, but I was pleased to discover the handle is extendable and is a good height for me (5'11).
The wheels are hard like the Zapp and therefore not well suited to terrain. It has the advantage on the Zapp that it does have a slight recline which would allow it to be used by babies from about 4 months. Adaptors for European carseats are also available.
It pushes well with a light weight (a 6 month old) or heavier weight(2.5 year old) in it in shopping centres.
The greatest flaws in this pram are the tiny basket, limited recline, and poor hood coverage, but you tend to loose some functionality when you go for a compact stroller over a pram.
Pros
-Easy, compact fold-Light to steer
-Colours available are nice (I have the wineberry/purple)
-Comparable to Zapp in terms of quality
Cons
-Small basket-Poor hood coverage
-No real suspension
-No accessories (cupholder, changeable hoods etc) available
