The Bumbleride safety concern which we reported on in January is now officially a recall. The issue, a front wheel that can break at the axle hub, causing the stroller to tip and therefore become a fall hazard, affects all Indie strollers manufactured between January 2009 and September 2011 and Indie Twin strollers manufactured between January 2009 and August 2011.

The issue can be resolved by contacting Bumbleride and registering for a Wheel Retrofit Pack, which will strengthen the front wheel and prevent the issue from occurring.
