US Peg Perego recall
30th July, 2012, 1.56pm ESTPeg Perego have initiated a massive voluntary recall of two different pram models sold in the United States between 2004 and 2007. The recall is to address a possible entrapment and strangulation hazard which can occur when a child slips down the seat and gets caught under the front bumper.
The current safety standard in the United States sets a minimum gap between the seat and front bumper to avoid the risk of entrapment, and current model Peg Perego strollers comply with this standard. Certain models produced between 2004 and 2007 do not meet this standard, and Peg Perego have recalled these strollers.
The affected models are the Venezia and Pliko-P3 manufactuered between 2004 and 2007 with a child tray and single cupholder. US owners of these models are requested to contact Peg Perego and register for a free repair kit.
Peg Perego strollers in other markets are not affected by the recall, however all pram users should take care to always strap their children into the pram and never leave them unattended.

Yo! Ahoy There!
12th July, 2012, 2.52pm ESTHaving trouble keeping your little pirate in his stroller? That's because little pirates need a sailing ship, not a stroller!
As much as mothers of little girls have been loving the Golightly by Cosatto, mothers of little boys have been banging their nappy bags in despair, crying ‘Where’s ours?’
You must have been making so much noise about it that Cosatto have obliged, introducing the brand new Ahoy There stroller, the much-awaited boys’ version of the Golightly.
This little gem will be available in September 2012 and while there’s not a huge amount of information about this out just yet, we do know is that it will include a fleece-lined cosytoes to keep little pirate toes warm and an ultra-cute matching skull and crossbones nappy bag.
As with the rest of Cossato’s range, Ahoy There is suitable from birth, has multiple recline positions and lockable front swivel wheels. It’s also only a tiny 7kg with dimensions of 72cm x 44cm x 98cm, so your little swashbuckler can go with you anywhere.
Given the runaway success that was the Golightly, it will be very interesting to see how Ahoy There goes once it’s released. Our prediction is that it is going to be verrrrry popular.

Phil & Teds Dot and Navigator video
04th July, 2012, 3.30pm ESTExcited about the new Phil & Teds models Dot and Navigator? Want to know more? Phil & Teds have created a video which shows them both in action. The side by side images really show the smaller size of the Dot compared to the Navigator, and there's some great shots of the new Snug carrycot and other accessories such as the Freerider and of course the face-to-face seat for the Navigator. Definitely a great video to watch!

Bugaboo Cameleon has been reviewed!
02nd July, 2012, 2.15pm ESTJune brought exciting news for Bugaboo fans of a new generation Cameleon due on the market later this year. Since our last Cameleon review was written more then 5 years ago now using the first generation chassis and seat unit, we thought it was time to get in a review of the current model while it is still available. That way we'll be all set to appreciate the new features of the Cameleon3, and we promise it won't be another 5 years before that review is out!
If you're a current Bugaboo owner, in the market for one, or just interested in the finer details of how the current model works, be sure to read Ally's extensive review (with photos of course!).

Two new offerings from Phil & Teds
29th June, 2012, 10.18am ESTJust when you thought the Phil & Teds Explorer was the cutest, slimmest and most versatile stroller on the market, they have outdone even themselves with the introduction of two brand new strollers.
Let’s face it - prams can be fairly dull and boring. When I chose my daughter’s pram, the options were black, grey, or black-and-grey. But Phil & Teds have (thankfully!) changed all that with their delightfully colourful new range of inline strollers.
Dot is the perfect solution if you're looking for an eye-catching all-terrain stroller that takes up minimal space. Suitable from birth, car seat compatible and with an optional second seat and a range of funky colours to choose from, Dot is perfect for inner-city living.
Navigator is as functional as it is funky. Not only is there a huge range of colours to choose from, but you can also mix and match to create the perfect colour combination.
The Navigator has a host of fantastic features, including a new improved harness and layback adjustment, and a reclining doubles seat. The Navigator also has some exciting new optional accessories such as the new snug carrycot and the face-to-face seat which allows a child up to 9kg to face you, giving you the opportunity to bond with your baby and make sure they’re not sticking their rusk in their ear while you zoom around the city! At only 59cm wide, Navigator can squeeze anywhere.
We’re so exciting about these new additions to the phil&teds line. Inline strolling just got a whole lot funkier.

Mountain Buggy gets 'face to face'
26th June, 2012, 11.31am ESTI think it's fair to say that the Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle is one of the most recommended prams on the Strollers and Prams forum. It is quite simply the great all rounder - good on uneven paths whilst manoeuvering just as easily around the shops, comfortable to push, comfortable for baby, and built to last. It is a cinch to sell this pram to any new parent who is looking to buy one single pram that will last them for years to come. That is until they realise that the seat will only face out.
Not surprisingly, having a seat which faces them is high on the priority list for many new parents, and whilst the bassinet attachment allows parents to watch their infant for those first few precious months, once their child starts to sit up the child must face out. Well that's how it used to be!
Mountain Buggy have just launched their new 'face-to-face' seat which allows children to rear face in their Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle, Terrain or +one until they reach 9kg. The seat attaches to the frame using two connectors and allows a child to remain rear facing when they have outgrown the bassinet or capsule.
The face-to-face seat is fixed at a 45 degree recline, and with a weight limit of 9kg the Mountain Buggy remains a predominantly outward facing pram. The new seat will however extend the time parents are able to face their infant and those extra months might just be enough to convince new parents that the Mountain Buggy really is the only pram they will ever need.

New CREP results
20th June, 2012, 1.29pm ESTThe Child Restraint Evaluation Program (CREP) was created to provide information to consumers about the relative performance of car seats in an accident and to rate their ease of use. The performance rating is achieved through the testing of seats in simulated crash tests and results are published regularly in an easy to read format.
CREP have recently added the results of 5 new restraints to their website, including the Maxi Cosi Mico, BabyLove Ezy Switch and the Infa Secure Style Rider. The way the results are presented has changed slightly, with rear facing restraints now being split into two categories (babies up to 6 months, and babies up to 12 months). Detailed ease of use ratings now also provided.
The next round of CREP test results will feature 15 restraints tested using revised CREP testing procedures and are due out in October 2012.
