Bebe Confort Elea

stroller news31st August, 2010, 5.09am CEST

The new Elea stroller from Bebe Confort has one of the most unusual folds I have seen. It has two fold modes, the everyday fold and a further step that makes it more compact for travel or storage.

The comfortable well padded seat is reversible, with an easy adjust harness and the large wheels with high performance suspension assure a smooth ride.

The Elea can be used as a travel system with the Bebe Confort Creatis, the Streety Fix or the Maxi Cosi Pebble. You can also attach a Windoo Carry Cot for use with a newborn.

Available in Intense Red, Brown Earth, Total Black and Steel Grey (pictured). Available accessories include a parasol, change bag and footmuff

Maclaren Quest: Denim and Yellow Submarine

stroller news27th August, 2010, 1.33pm CEST

Since 1967 Maclaren has been at the forefront of the world of lightweight buggies. The two new offerings from Maclaren maintain all of their standard high quality features, wrapping them up in fun and funky packages.

The Yellow Submarine Quest as you can imagine is inspired by the iconic band The Beatles. It will certainly turn heads with its blue denim fabric and signature sunshine yellow liner (which reverses to a psychedelic coordinating pattern). The liner and rain cover are sold with the stroller, and a cosy denim and fleece foot muff is sold as an accessory.

The second offering, due for release later in 2010, is a timeless all denim Quest, featuring high quality dark wash denim and the most adorable “jeans pocket” on the back of the hood. There is also a coordinating foot muff available separately.

Phil & Teds Explorer

stroller news30th July, 2010, 3.21am CEST

The design team at Phil & Teds has been very busy tweaking all the little things that were just not quite right on their older inline models. The result is the Explorer which will be replacing the Sport.

The Explorer has a new sunhood with pop out visor for more sun protection and finally a sunvisor is available for the doubles kit. The brakes are now peddle style making them much more user friendly, and the recline is a multi recline system similar to the Dash model. The footplate is no longer fabric which will stop the problem of your toddler pushing down and stopping the front wheel, and you can now use the Explorer as a newborn/toddler travel system, mounting a car seat in the main seat and having your toddler in the doubles kit.

The really impressive change is the new fold mechanism. It’s a lift and pull one handed, single action fold that needs to be seen to be believed.

The Explorer will be available in 5 colours, Black and Red, Black and Grey, Navy and Grey, Black and Green and all Green. Have a chat to your local stockist for availability.

Quinny Zapp Xtra

stroller news29th July, 2010, 3.50am CEST

More news from the world of Quinny. There will be two different Zapp models with reclines. The Quinny Zapp Recline will be available in the US market on their 4 wheel model and the Quinny Zapp Xtra will be available in the EU market on the 3 wheel version.

The Zapp Xtra has a separate seat unit that can be reclined and reversed! It is now a 2 piece fold, but is still a smaller then average unit when folded. I am sure for most the luxury of a lightweight face parent option will outweigh the convenience of a one piece fold, and lets face it the Zapp is hardly a one step fold anyway.

Even better news, if you already own a 3 wheel zapp there is no need for a full upgrade. The Zapp Xtra seat is able to retrofit!

Baby Jogger City Micro spotted in Kentucky

stroller news09th May, 2009, 12.52am CEST

Sadly not by me, but by Sheri from Magic Beans who is attending the ABC Spring Educational Conference in Louiseville Kentucky. It appears the Micro part of the name refers to the price, and not the stroller's weight, since the Micro actually weighs more than the Mini. With a smaller canopy, smaller wheels and a lesser recline, the Micro will however cost just $159.99. It comes in both a single and double version and is due for release at the end of June 2009. Have a look at Sheri's video for a great sneak peak.
