Orbit Baby Toddler Car Seat G2 Now Available
26th January, 2012, 9.36pm CETOrbit Baby have released an upgraded version of their Toddler Car Seat. The Toddler Car Seat G2 can accommodate children rear facing from 15 - 35lbs (6.8-16kg), and forward facing from 20 - 65lbs (9 - 29.5kg). It can dock onto the Orbit G2 Stroller and for quick and easy transfer between the car and stroller can be installed (and rotated) on the optional car seat based (only when rear facing).
According to MyStrollers.com, the latest G2 seat offers several improvements on the previous model including thicker foam in the headrest, an increased height rating (now to 53 inches) and a redesigned harness which reduces tangling of the straps and uses magnets to keep the straps out of the way when putting children into the seat.

Bumbleride Indie and Indie Twin Front Wheel Safety Concern
23rd January, 2012, 9.07pm CETBumbleride have identified a potential safety issue with the front wheel of certain Indie and Indie Twin models. The problem is the front wheel axel hub which has the potential to crack or break, and can then result in a tipping and fall hazard.
Owners of Bumbleride Indie strollers manufactured between January 2009 and September 2011 and Indie Twin strollers manufactured between January 2009 and August 2011 are asked to discontinue use of the stroller and apply for a Wheel Retrofit Pack, which once installed will resolve the issue.

Cosatto Yo! Golightly going very very quickly!
16th January, 2012, 1.10am CETFor some time now a handful of stroller manufacturers have been releasing a line of limited edition strollers which feature fun and quirky textiles. Peg Perego had their 'Frog Prince' Pliko (among others!) and more recently Maclaren have had their Apple Quest as well several fun designer prints.
It seems though that nobody does cute and quirky quite like Cosatto. Rather than just offering a single quirky offering each year, Cosatto decks outs their entire collection of lightweight strollers in fabulously fun prints. This year's collection includes babooshka dolls, monsters, and kitties teamed with bold stripes, polka dots and large text which reads 'Happy Go Lucky', or on the twin strollers 'Sis' and 'Bro'.
And then there's the Golightly. Featuring bold black and white stripes, tiny polka dots on the seat and a big red bow, it's not likely to be everybody's cup of tea. But then since Cosatto claim this to be their fastest selling stroller ever (as do The Online Baby Centre who got their stock in on the 21st of December and were sold out 9 days later) it obviously does appeal to a whole lot of people out there.
A quick look around the internet shows most retailers taking pre-orders for various arrival dates. If you want one, then I'd suggest you get in line pretty fast!

Bugaboo issue recall for Graco car seat adaptor
04th January, 2012, 2.30am CETBugaboo has issued a voluntary recall for their Graco car seat adaptor due to a risk of the car seat falling when installed incorrectly on a Cameleon stroller used in conjunction with a wheeled board.
The single reported case of this occurring happened when the car seat was installed facing forward (as opposed to the recommended rear facing position), and the wheeled board was kicked up, hitting the exposed release button and causing the car seat to disconnect from the adaptor and fall.
Bugaboo have advised owners of the adaptors (model numbers 80400GC01 and 80401GC02) to stop using them until they receive a part designed to cover the release button. More information about the recall is available at the Bugaboo website.
